Does your local business need an app?
“Should we have an app?” The answer comes down to how often your customers come back. If people find you once and call, a website does the job. If they order, book, pay or check in with you again and again, an app can make that easier and keep you on their phone.
When an app is the right next step
We look for a repeat habit to support. Think of a cafe where people order ahead every morning, a gym or salon where people book every week, or a shop with regulars who earn rewards. If most customers visit once, we’d put the money into your website and Google profile first.
What an app can include
- Online ordering.
- Bookings.
- Rewards for regulars.
- Push notifications, like “your order is ready”.
- Payments and subscriptions.

What you approve before anything is built
We design every screen first, and you approve it before any code is written. We build one version that runs on both iPhone and Android, and while it’s being built you can try test versions on your own phone.
Getting it into the stores
Apple and Google review every app before it goes live. We handle the submission and your store listing. They decide how long their review takes, so we can’t give you a launch date until they’ve approved it.
Who owns it after launch
The app is yours. You own the code and the App Store and Google Play accounts.
Questions
Is a website enough for a local business?
For many businesses, yes. Start with a website that makes it easy to call or book you. An app can come later, if your regulars would use it often.
Can one app work on iPhone and Android?
Yes, we make one build that runs on both iPhone and Android.
Can I add features after launch?
Yes, after launch the app can keep getting fixes and new features whenever you want them.
What should I tell you before you quote an app?
What you want it to do, who will use it, and how often. We plan the first version with you, then quote it.
